CRB Checks Manchester

 The Gaddum Centre charity is a CRB Registered Body and Umbrella Organisation so we can quickly process checks for individuals and organisations.

Why might I be asked to apply for a CRB check?

You may have been asked to apply for a Standard or an Enhanced CRB check if:

  • you will be working with children or vulnerable adults;
  • you will be working in an establishment that is wholly or mainly for children;
  • you will be working in healthcare; or
  • you have applied to be a foster carer, adoptive parent or childminder

How much will it cost me?

We have individual fee arrangements with a number of organisations in Manchester - as a new organisation or individual seeking a check the fee is  £20 plus a £44 fee from the CRB for an enhanced check £64 total. (if you are undertaking a volunteering role the CRB £44 fee may not apply)

the application process consists  of completing a form and checking proof of identity, we then send off the form and the CRB produces the check document with your details on,  this can 2 - 4 weeks to get back depending on the time of year so start the process as soon as you think you will need one.
