We also have two specialist advocacy workers who can support with the following issues within the City of Manchester-
Carers' Advocacy - We support carers whose friends or family are using or about to use residential care. We can help with issues such as knowing your rights, resolving issues, guiding you through a maze of services and systems - call on
0161 214 3933 - or leave a message on the same number.
Manchester’s Partnership for Older People Projects (POPP) helps people over 50 who are living independently and are registered with a GP in the South of Manchester. We can support them with various issues such as housing; feeling isolated; benefits; accessing care services; safety; caring for others and health.
The Older People’s Advice and Advocacy Service is for people over 60 and residing in any area of Manchester including those who are staying in care homes, hospitals or in a similar setting. We can assist people with similar issues listed above.
